The Illinois House of Representatives adjourned its Spring Session on Friday May 30th 2014, and the Senate adjourned shortly after midnight on Saturday morning, May 31st. While the House and Senate both passed a budget and concluded session on schedule, the “middle-of- the-road” nature of the budget leaves huge potholes to fill and deferred many major, and potentially unpopular, decisions until after the General Election in November, 2014.
