I had the opportunity to attend my first Louisville Manufactured Home Show in Louisville KY last week and was pleasantly surprised by the number of manufacturers displaying their latest home models and the many suppliers exhibiting their products and services.
We had a several IMHA members who stopped by our booth to say hello, renew their support for the association or even join up for the first time! It was great to see and meet all of you.
I was also able to visit with many of my counterparts from the Midwest Manufactured Housing Federation and other state MH associations at the event. The real value of these types of shows is found in the ability to network with others from around the industry and pick up some pearls of wisdom or insight along the way.
Many IMHA Directors were at the show and able to spend a little time at the booth as well, time that allowed them to visit with members and discuss the issues that are most important to them and to the association, too. I’d like to offer a round of thanks to those directors for manning the booth which allowed me some time to get around the show and visit with the various manufacturers, associations, finance companies, suppliers and service providers at the show.
I understand the show has grown over the past few years and looked more like the shows of old with increased attendance numbers and the number of homes on display. A good beginning for the New Year and hopefully a sign of things to come!
Lastly, it’s time to renew support for your industry association. If you have not already, please update your information on the renewal and application forms that should have been received in the mail. You can also renew your membership support online at www.imha.org or by giving us a call at 217-528-3423. I look forward to hearing from each of you.
