Both the House of Representatives and Senate have recessed until after the November elections. Both chambers quickly approved a continuing resolution (CR) to fund government operations through December 11th and then scheduled a lame-duck session of Congress to begin shortly after the elections on November 12th.
The agenda for the lame-duck session will largely be determined by the outcome of the November elections. Among the list of must pass measures that would have to be considered is passage of the FY2015 appropriations measures and extension of expiring tax provisions-including the New Energy Efficient Home Credit (IRC 45L).
It is expected that the House of Representatives may move a consolidated package of Dodd-Frank reform measures. Any modifications to Dodd-Frank will be monitored to be sure it contains the provisions outlined in H.R. 1779 (Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing Act).
